The great palace of the Pharaoh was located in the capital of the city which was moved several timed during the classical period of Egypt. The walls were made of mud and were used to protect the city. The Royal Library of Alexandria, or Ancient Library of Alexandria, in Alexandria, Egypt, was one of the largest and most significant libraries of the ancient world. Many of the great philosophers of the ancient world completed their studies here.
